Quick March 2023 Author Update

Hello everybody,

Things have been picking up on my end and I felt it was time today to give a quick March 2023 author update.

What have I been writing? ❔

Writing has taken a back seat as editing has gone full throttle. Most of my writing time goes towards toying with the city of Narcopolis and its many characters.

My idea has been to give one character her own story since she sadly lost her time to shine in my current work in progress. Similar to how I had with Amorphous Tides. The working title is Mermaids and Bullets. Admittedly, it’s more for fun than anything else.

Also, Love, Eville and Superheroes went on hold to edit other works as well.

How’s editing going? 👀

Speaking of editing, I have received my manuscript back from my editor for my current work in progress, The Hollow Death of Belladonna Bates. Long story short, she has advised me to trim the word count and resend. It’s not what I wanted to hear, but it may be what the story needs to be accessible to everyone.

So, I’ve rewritten the opening chapters, cut a perspective, and with that, sliced a total of 63,000 words plus combed through 37 chapters in a month. It’s been a lot, lol.

So, apologies for missing last month’s update. My birthday kept me busy too.

I turned 25. (I sure don’t feel it, lol.)

Besides that, my other work in progress, The Gathering of Misfits Book One, is away with a developmental editor until the end of the month, which is also exciting.

Other exciting news! 🎉

In case you haven’t heard, Lafonda and Leo are getting their very own comic book! A test page is finished as well as some more character designs. Below is a sneak peek.

It continues to amaze me how fast this came along.

Big thanks to the artists involved and thank you all for your support with bringing this story to life! 🙂

Work for another side project has been slow, but I hope to reveal more as it develops.

That’s a wrap on this quick March 2023 Author Update.

Until next time,

Keep Writing!
